Homework 1:  Bentley's first homework

In the third week of school in 2009, GSIS was recommended to close.  It was felt that international school presented a particular risk for incubating H1N1 because they are made of a population of international traveling students and the flu was more likely to show up and spread in this environment. One afternoon during this week, after doing our virtual school responsibilities on the computer and internet, we went to Pal-dal-moon (historic city gate in Suwon) to have a meal.  In the course of wandering after the meal, we chanced upon a stationery store:  pens, pencils, paper, notebooks, paints, canvass - a nirvana to students and teachers!  We bought Bentley some lined notebooks and overlarge pencils (the "elefant" model of a Steadtler from Germany in this photo).  At home I wrote out a few letter and number for him to trace and practice.  He is glad to do some "homework" of his own and I hope that we are starting him toward a habit of disciplined learning. In any case he is enthusiastic for it!
